Couples meeting
A guided Gospel reading for married couples, followed by time to talk about marriage. Sundays in San Diego.
Couples read the coming Sunday's Gospel together and talk about what it means for marriage. The reflection is guided, so you do not need to prepare anything.
It is for couples who want to keep growing, not couples in crisis. Some have been married forty years and some are newly married. The material is for both.
What this is not
- It is not counseling or therapy. We are an education and community organization, not a clinical one.
- It is not a crisis program. If a marriage is in trouble, the right first call is a parish priest or a licensed marriage and family therapist, and this sits alongside that rather than in place of it.
Questions
Do we have to come every time?
No. Couples come when they can.
Do I have to be Catholic?
The reflection follows the Sunday Gospel and the formation is Catholic. You do not have to be Catholic to come, and you do not have to be a practising one.
